Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) has gained considerable attention in the management of head and neck cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (HNcSCC). The aim of this study was to compare the oncologic outcomes between observation and SLNB in cN0 high-risk HNcSCC patients. We retrospectively enrolled patients from the SEER database and evaluated the impact of observation versus SLNB on disease-specific survival (DSS) and overall survival (OS) using a Propensity Score Matching (PSM) analysis. A total of 9804 patients were included, with 1169 cases treated by SLNB. Successful retrieval of the sentinel lymph node was achieved in 1130 procedures. After PSM and subsequent multivariate analysis, SLNB was found to be an independent predictor for improved DSS, with a hazard ratio of 0.70 (95% confidence interval: 0.56-0.86). In patients presenting with two or three high-risk factors, SLNB was associated with better DSS (p = 0.021 and p = 0.044), but similar OS (p = 0.506 and p = 0.801) when compared to observation. However, in patients exhibiting four high-risk factors, SLNB demonstrated significantly improved DSS (p = 0.040) and OS (p = 0.028) compared to observation. Our findings suggest that SLNB is a highly feasible technique in HNcSCC and provides significant survival benefits. It is strongly recommended in patients with two or more high-risk factors, as it can help guide treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is a prevalent and prognostically challenging cancer worldwide. The role of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in cancer regulation is progressively being understood. This study aims to identify lncRNAs with diagnostic potential as biomarkers for HNSCC. Statistical analysis was performed on expression data from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database to identify potential lncRNAs associated with HNSCC. Four selected lncRNAs were validated using real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and correlated with clinical factors. Functional roles were further investigated. A total of 488 differentially expressed lncRNAs were identified in TCGA-HNSC. After rigorous evaluation based on p-values, survival analysis, and ROC analysis, 24 lncRNAs were prioritized for additional investigation. LINC00460, LINC00941, CTC-241F20.4, and RP11-357H14.17 were established as candidate diagnostic biomarkers. These lncRNAs exhibited elevated expression in HNSCC tissues and were associated with poor prognosis. Combining them showed high diagnostic accuracy. Notably, LINC00460 and CTC-241F20.4 demonstrated a significant elevation in the advanced stages of HNSCC. We constructed an lncRNA-mRNA regulatory network, and the array of significant regulatory pathways identified included focal adhesion, regulation of epithelial cell migration, and others. Additionally, these lncRNAs were found to influence immune responses by modulating immune cell infiltration in the HNSCC microenvironment. Our research indicates that LINC00460, LINC00941, RP11-357H14.17, and CTC-241F20.4 may have diagnostic and prognostic importance in HNSCC. Furthermore, we have gained insights into their potential functional roles, particularly about immune responses and interactions in the microenvironment.

BACKGROUND: The unknown tissue of origin in head and neck cancer of unknown primary (hnCUP) leads to invasive diagnostic procedures and unspecific and potentially inefficient treatment options for patients. The most common histologic subtype, squamous cell carcinoma, can stem from various tumor primary sites, including the oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx, head and neck skin, lungs, and esophagus. DNA methylation profiles are highly tissue-specific and have been successfully used to classify tissue origin. We therefore developed a support vector machine (SVM) classifier trained with publicly available DNA methylation profiles of commonly cervically metastasizing squamous cell carcinomas (n = 1103) in order to identify the primary tissue of origin of our own cohort of squamous cell hnCUP patient's samples (n = 28). Methylation analysis was performed with Infinium MethylationEPIC v1.0 BeadChip by Illumina. RESULTS: The SVM algorithm achieved the highest overall accuracy of tested classifiers, with 87%. Squamous cell hnCUP samples on DNA methylation level resembled squamous cell carcinomas commonly metastasizing into cervical lymph nodes. The most frequently predicted cancer localization was the oral cavity in 11 cases (39%), followed by the oropharynx and larynx (both 7, 25%), skin (2, 7%), and esophagus (1, 4%). These frequencies concord with the expected distribution of lymph node metastases in epidemiological studies. CONCLUSIONS: On DNA methylation level, hnCUP is comparable to primary tumor tissue cancer types that commonly metastasize to cervical lymph nodes. Our SVM-based classifier can accurately predict these cancers' tissues of origin and could significantly reduce the invasiveness of hnCUP diagnostics and enable a more precise therapy after clinical validation.

We aimed to identify an effective metabolic subtype and risk score to predict survival and immunotherapy response in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Data were obtained from an online database. We screened significant prognostic metabolism-related genes between the normal and tumor groups using a series of bioinformatics methods. Based on the selected prognostic genes, we conducted a subtype analysis to identify significantly different subtypes in HNSCC. We then investigated survival, immune features, and hallmark differences among different subtypes. LASSO was utilized to identify optimal genes for the risk score model construction. Finally, distribution of the risk score samples was analyzed for different subtypes. A total of 32 significantly prognostic metabolism-related genes were screened, and all samples were grouped into two subtypes: cluster 1 and cluster 2. Cluster 1 had worse survival. Different immune cell infiltration (CD8 T cells, macrophages, and regulatory T cells) and immune checkpoint gene expression (PD-1 and CLAT-4) were observed between the two clusters. Twelve optimal genes were involved in risk score model, and high-risk group had poorer survival. Cluster 1 contained more high-risk samples (60%). Finally, four genes CAV1, GGT6, PYGL, and HS3ST1 were identified as significantly related to immune cells, and these genes were differentially expressed in the normal oral epithelial cells and HNSCC cells. The subtypes and risk score model in the study provide a promising biomarker for prognosis and immunotherapy response.

BACKGROUND: Precision healthcare has entered a new era because of the developments in personalized medicine, especially in the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). This paper explores the dynamic landscape of personalized medicine as applied to HNSCC, encompassing both current developments and future prospects. RECENT FINDINGS: The integration of personalized medicine strategies into HNSCC diagnosis is driven by the utilization of genetic data and biomarkers. Epigenetic biomarkers, which reflect modifications to DNA that can influence gene expression, have emerged as valuable indicators for early detection and risk assessment. Treatment approaches within the personalized medicine framework are equally promising. Immunotherapy, gene silencing, and editing techniques, including RNA interference and CRISPR/Cas9, offer innovative means to modulate gene expression and correct genetic aberrations driving HNSCC. The integration of stem cell research with personalized medicine presents opportunities for tailored regenerative approaches. The synergy between personalized medicine and technological advancements is exemplified by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) applications. These tools empower clinicians to analyze vast datasets, predict patient responses, and optimize treatment strategies with unprecedented accuracy. CONCLUSION: The developments and prospects of personalized medicine in HNSCC diagnosis and treatment offer a transformative approach to managing this complex malignancy. By harnessing genetic insights, biomarkers, immunotherapy, gene editing, stem cell therapies, and advanced technologies like AI and ML, personalized medicine holds the key to enhancing patient outcomes and ushering in a new era of precision oncology.

With the advent of molecular immunohistochemistry and next generation sequencing, Switch/sucrose non-fermentable (SWI/SNF) chromatin remodeling complex altered tumors have gained recognition recently. SWI/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily B member 1 (SMARCB1) and SMARCA4 are the primary SWI/SNF components altered in several recently described undifferentiated malignancies in head and neck region with predilection for paranasal sinuses in SMARCB1-deficient tumors and nasal cavity in SMARCA4-deficient tumors. However, to the best of our knowledge, SMARCA4-deficient tumors of the oropharynx have not been described. We present an unusual case of SMARCA4-deficient carcinoma of the oropharynx (palatine tonsil) which is the first case in the literature, expanding the topographic distribution of SMARCA4-deficient tumors in the head and neck region and emphasizing the importance of BRG1 as an essential immunohistochemical marker for the diagnosis of this distinct entity.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW: New evidence has recently emerged regarding the utility and benefits of dual p16 INKa (p16) and Human papillomavirus (HPV) status testing when determining the diagnosis and prognosis of patients with oropharyngeal cancer. RECENT FINDINGS: HPV RNA polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is the most accurate diagnostic test. The other assays (HPV DNA PCR, HPV DNA/RNA in-situ hybridization (ISH) and p16) applied to formalin fixed tumour tissue have varying but high sensitivities and specificities. Dual p16 and HPV testing identifies discordant (p16+/HPV- or p16-/HPV+) results in 9.2% of cases, who have significantly poorer prognoses than p16+/HPV+, particularly in smokers. The proportion of discordant cases varies by region, and appears to be highest in regions with lowest attributable (p16+/HPV+) fractions. Dual testing improves prognostication for oropharyngeal cancer cases by identifying discordant cases and improving the prognostic power of the Tumour Node Metastasis (TNM) classification, especially in regions with high discordant rates. SUMMARY: Dual testing is essential when considering patients for clinical trials of treatment de-escalation, and may be important when counselling patients on prognosis, especially in regions with high discordant rates and in smokers.

BACKGROUND: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) represents one of the most malignant cancers worldwide, with poor survival. Experimental evidence implies that glycolysis/hypoxia is associated with HNSCC. In this study, we aimed to construct a novel glycolysis-/hypoxia-related gene (GHRG) signature for survival prediction of HNSCC. METHODS: A multistage screening strategy was used to establish the GHRG prognostic model by univariate/least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO)/step multivariate Cox regressions from The Cancer Genome Atlas cohort. A nomogram was constructed to quantify the survival probability. Correlations between risk score and immune infiltration and chemotherapy sensitivity were explored. RESULTS: We established a 12-GHRG mRNA signature to predict the prognosis in HNSCC patients. Patients in the high-risk score group had a much worse prognosis. The predictive power of the model was validated by external HNSCC cohorts, and the model was identified as an independent factor for survival prediction. Immune infiltration analysis showed that the high-risk score group had an immunosuppressive microenvironment. Finally, the model was effective in predicting chemotherapeutic sensitivity. CONCLUSIONS: Our study demonstrated that the GHRG model is a robust prognostic tool for survival prediction of HNSCC. Findings of this work provide novel insights for immune infiltration and chemotherapy of HNSCC, and may be applied clinically to guide therapeutic strategies.

Importance: There is a paucity of large-scale prospective studies evaluating the risk of developing head and neck cancer (HNC) associated with smoking, drinking, and dietary habits. Objective: To determine the association of smoking, drinking, and dietary habits with the risk of developing HNC. Design, Setting, and Participants: A nested cohort survival analysis of Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening Trial participants was performed. Participants were between 55 and 74 years of age and recruited at 10 centers across the US from November 1993 to July 2001. Participants who developed HNC were matched with controls based on demographics and family history of HNC for analysis of smoking habits; for the analysis of drinking and dietary habits, matching was performed on smoking status and duration in addition to demographics and family history of HNC. Data analysis was performed from January to November 2023. Exposures: Smoking, drinking, and dietary habits. Main Outcome and Measure: Diagnosis of HNC. Results: In total, 139 926 participants (51% female; mean [SD] age, 62.6 [5.4] years) were included in the analysis of smoking habits with a median (IQR) follow-up time of 12.1 (10.3-13.6) years, 571 of whom developed HNC. HNC risk associated with smoking increased the closer the proximity of the head and neck subsite to the lungs, with the greatest risk associated with smoking observed in laryngeal cancer (current smoker hazard ratio [HR], 9.36; 95% CI, 5.78-15.15 compared to a nonsmoker). For analysis of drinking and dietary habits, 94 466 participants were included in the analysis of smoking habits with a median (IQR) follow-up time of 12.2 (10.5-13.6) years, 264 of whom developed HNC. HNC risk increased with heavy drinking (HR, 1.85; 95% CI, 1.44-2.38) and decreased with consumption of whole grains (HR, 0.78; 95% CI, 0.64-0.94/oz per day), whole fruits (HR, 0.90; 95% CI, 0.82-0.98/cup per day), and overall healthy eating, as scored by Healthy Eating Index 2015 (HR, 0.87; 95% CI, 0.78-0.98/10 points). Conclusions and Relevance: In this nested cohort study, the risk of HNC associated with smoking was higher for subsites that were closer to the lungs; heavy drinking was associated with greater HNC risk, while healthy eating was associated with a modest reduction in HNC risk.

Context: : Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCCs) are the sixth most frequent malignancy in the world. Epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFRs) are members of Erb B family of receptors. EGFR is known to act as a driver of tumorigenesis in various carcinomas. Over expression of EGFR in HNSCC is associated with poor prognosis and resistance to radiotherapy. It is a useful prognostic marker, marker for response to therapy, and also a therapeutic target. Aim: To study the association of the known prognostic variables with EGFR expression in HNSCCs and to correlate it with the clinical outcome. Settings and Design: Cross-sectional observational study. Materials and Methods: A total of 170 patients of HNSCC were evaluated for EGFR expression and followed up for at least two years, with correlation of EGFR expression with various histopathological factors and their clinical outcome. Statistical Analysis Used: : Chi-square test. Results: The expression of EGFR in HNSCC in this study population was 88.82%. Statistical significance was noted between EGFR reactivity and age of the patient, its histological grade and perineural invasion. Statistical significance was also noted between EGFR reactivity and recurrence of malignancy as well as the site of recurrence. Conclusion: EGFR expression in patients with HNSCC is a poor prognostic biomarker and has a comparatively lower survival outcome as compared to non-EGFR expressing HNSCC cases. Hence, it will be helpful for all those patients diagnosed with HNSCC to ideally undergo an additional EGFR immunohistochemical evaluation, which, in turn, will help the oncologists in management of the tumor with anti-EGFR therapy combined with radiotherapy, to obtain a better response and a survival outcome.

BACKGROUND: The lack of appropriate prognostic biomarkers remains a significant obstacle in the early detection of Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC), a cancer type with a high mortality rate. Despite considerable advancements in treatment, the success in diagnosing HNSCC at an early stage still needs to be improved. Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and Sonic Hedgehog (Shh) are overexpressed in various cancers, including HNSCC, and have recently been proposed as possible therapeutic targets for HNSCC. Circulating Tumor Cell (CTC) is a novel concept used for the early detection of cancers, and studies have suggested that a higher CTC count is associated with the aggressiveness of HNSCC and poor survival rates. Therefore, we aimed to establish molecular markers for the early diagnosis of HNSCC considering Shh/Nrf2 overexpression in the background. In addition, the relation between Shh/Nrf2 and CTCs is still unexplored in HNSCC patients. METHODS: In the present study, we selected a cohort of 151 HNSCC patients and categorized them as CTC positive or negative based on the presence or absence of CTCs in their peripheral blood. Data on demographic and clinicopathological features with the survival of the patients were analyzed to select the patient cohort to study Shh/Nrf2 expression. Shh and Nrf2 expression was measured by qRT-PCR. RESULTS: Considering significant demographic [smoking, betel leaf (p-value < 0.0001)] and clinicopathological risk factors [RBC count (p < 0.05), Platelet count (p < 0.05), Neutrophil count (p < 0.005), MCV (p < 0.0001), NLR (p < 0.05), MLR (p < 0.05)], patients who tested positive for CTC also exhibited significant overexpression of Shh/Nrf2 in both blood and tissue compared to CTC-negative patients. A strong association exists between CTCs and tumor grade. Following chemotherapy (a combination of Cisplatin, 5FU, and Paclitaxel), the frequency of CTCs was significantly decreased in patients with HNSCC who had tested positive for CTCs. The Kaplan-Meier plot illustrated that a higher number of CTCs is associated with poorer overall survival (OS) in patients with HNSCC. CONCLUSIONS: Detecting CTCs, and higher expression of Shh and Nrf2 in HNSCC patients' blood, can be a promising tool for diagnosing and prognosticating HNSCC.

BACKGROUND: Metastatic carcinoma of unknown primary origin to the head and neck lymph nodes (HNCUP) engenders unique diagnostic considerations. In many cases, the detection of a high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) unearths an occult oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). In metastatic HR-HPV-independent carcinomas, other primary sites should be considered, including cutaneous malignancies that can mimic HR-HPV-associated SCC. In this context, ultraviolet (UV) signature mutations, defined as ≥ 60% C→T substitutions with ≥ 5% CC→TT substitutions at dipyrimidine sites, identified in tumors arising on sun exposed areas, are an attractive and underused tool in the setting of metastatic HNCUP. METHODS: A retrospective review of institutional records focused on cases of HR-HPV negative HNCUP was conducted. All cases were subjected to next generation sequencing analysis to assess UV signature mutations. RESULTS: We identified 14 HR-HPV negative metastatic HNCUP to either the cervical or parotid gland lymph nodes, of which, 11 (11/14, 79%) had UV signature mutations, including 4 (4/10, 40%) p16 positive cases. All UV signature mutation positive cases had at least one significant TP53 mutation and greater than 20 unique gene mutations. CONCLUSION: The management of metastatic cutaneous carcinomas significantly differs from other HNCUP especially metastatic HR-HPV-associated SCC; therefore, the observation of a high percentage of C→T with CC →TT substitutions should be routinely incorporated in next generation sequencing reports of HNCUP. UV mutational signatures testing is a robust diagnostic tool that can be utilized in daily clinical practice.

BACKGROUND: Aberrant epigenetic modifications significantly develop and progress human malignancies including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Taking into account issues of late diagnosis and poor prognosis associated with HNSCC, this systematic review is designed to provide an up-to-date insight of epigenetic changes in the management of HNSCC. METHODS: All studies that assessed the diagnostic and prognostic utilities of epigenetic changes (DNA methylation and histone modifications) among patients diagnosed with HNSCC or oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs) were considered for inclusion till June 2023. Pre-defined Medical Subject Headings terms were used to search Web of Science, Pubmed, Scopus and Embase Ovid databases. RESULTS: Twenty-five studies were deemed eligible for inclusion with a total number of 3790 samples (2123 HNSCCs, 334 OPMDs and 1333 as controls). DNA methylation was investigated in 18 studies while the role of histone modifications was assessed in seven studies. The most investigated biomarkers among the studies were H3, DAPK and TIMP3. The diagnostic accuracy of the epigenetic biomarkers in detecting HNSCC was assessed in eight studies where the following biomarkers showed the highest area under the curve values: TIPM3, DCC, DAPK, SEPT9, SHOX9, HOXA9 and TRH. None of the studies assessed the predictability of the epigenetic biomarkers in HNSCC and OPMDs. CONCLUSION: Although initial promising results were seen using the epigenetic biomarkers in the early detection of HNSCC, the limited number of patients and the absence of well-designed longitudinal studies limit the clinical applicability of the outcomes.

Carotid blowout syndrome (CBS) is an uncommon but potentially life-threatening condition characterized by the spontaneous or traumatic rupture of the carotid artery in the neck. Oftentimes, CBS is due a loss of structural arterial integrity from local radiotherapy or surgical procedures. A vast majority of patients who develop CBS also have a previous diagnosis of head and neck cancer. Due to the specific patient population who develop CBS and its life-threatening nature, CBS should be a part of emergency physicians differential for those who present with a chronic neck wound or neurological symptoms in those with a previous head and neck cancer diagnosis. In this case report, a patient with a history of squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharynx who was treated with chemoradiation therapy, presented to the emergency department with spontaneous bleeding from an existing chronic wound on the left lateral neck. Conservative measures were taken including wound dressing, and the patient was discharged to see dermatology for biopsy of a suspected cancerous lesion. Once the chronic lesion was biopsied, the patient had to be immediately rushed to the operating room due to a brisk pulsatile bleeding from puncturing the carotid artery. Proper wound packing and an ultrasound of the neck for a proper diagnosis may have prevented the need for surgical intervention in this case. Although CBS is not common, complications can lead to death as seen in this case. Timely recognition and proper interventions are critical for preventing potentially fatal outcomes in those with CBS.

BACKGROUND: Health literacy (HL) comprises skills and knowledge required to understand, access, and make decisions about healthcare. Our aim was to examine associations between patient HL and time intervals (defined in the Aarhus statement) along the pathway to treatment of head and neck cancer (HNC). METHODS: A prospective cohort study was conducted from October 2018 to March 2020. Participants completed the Health Literacy Questionnaire (HLQ®) and described key events and dates along the pathway to treatment using validated questionnaires. Correlations between six diagnostic time intervals and domains of HL were explored, and factors predicting exceeding maximum acceptable timeframes were assessed using logistic regression. RESULTS: One hundred patients with a diagnosis of HNC within the preceding 6 months were recruited. HLQ® Domain 2 (sufficient information to manage health) was significantly negatively associated with four intervals: the patient interval (first symptom to first presentation), primary care interval (first presentation to referral to secondary care), diagnostic interval (first presentation to diagnosis), and total interval (first symptom to treatment onset); correlation coefficients -0.25 to -0.27 (P < 0.05). Domain 8 (ability to find good information) was significantly negatively associated with three intervals (primary care interval, diagnostic interval, and total interval; correlation coefficients -0.23 to -0.34; P < 0.05). Higher education, age, and comorbidity levels were associated with shorter patient and diagnostic intervals. CONCLUSIONS: HL may be a potential target to improve timeliness of HNC diagnosis and reduce disparities in outcomes.

RESUMO

Classification of head and neck tumors has evolved in recent decades including a widespread application of molecular testing in tumors of the salivary glands, sinonasal tract, oropharynx, nasopharynx, and soft tissue. Availability of new molecular techniques allowed for the definition of multiple novel tumor types unique to head and neck sites. Moreover, the expanding spectrum of immunohistochemical markers facilitates a rapid identification of diagnostic molecular abnormalities. As such, it is currently possible for head and neck pathologists to benefit from a molecularly defined classifications, while making diagnoses that are still based largely on histopathology and immunohistochemistry. This review highlights some principal molecular alterations in head and neck neoplasms presently available to assist pathologists in the practice of diagnosis, prognostication and prediction of response to treatment.

Liquid biopsy is a minimally invasive procedure, that uses body fluids sampling to detect and characterize cancer fingerprints. It is of great potential in oncology, however there are challenges associated with the proper handling of liquid biopsy samples that need to be addressed to implement such analysis in patients' care. Therefore, in this study we performed optimization of pre-analytical conditions and detailed characterization of cfDNA fraction (concentration, length, integrity score) in surgically treated HNSCC patients (n = 152) and healthy volunteers (n = 56). We observed significantly higher cfDNA concentration in patients compared to healthy controls (p < 0.0001) and a time dependent decrease of cfDNA concentration after tumor resection. Our results also revealed a significant increase of cfDNA concentration with age in both, healthy volunteers (p = 0.04) and HNSCC patients (p = 0.000002). Moreover, considering the multitude of HNSCC locations, we showed the lack of difference in cfDNA concentration depending on the anatomical location. Furthermore, we demonstrated a trend toward higher cfDNA length (range 35-10380 and 500-10380 bp) in the group of patients with recurrence during follow-up. In conclusion, our study provide a broad characterization of cfDNA fractions in HNSCC patients and healthy controls. These findings point to several aspects necessary to consider when implementing liquid biopsy in clinical practice including: (I) time required for epithelial regeneration to avoid falsely elevated levels of cfDNA not resulting from active cancer, (II) age-related accumulation of nucleic acids accompanied by less efficient elimination of cfDNA and (III) higher cfDNA length in patients with recurrence during follow-up, reflecting predominance of tumor necrosis.

A biomarker is a measurable indicator of biological or pathological processes or the response to an exposure or intervention and is used to guide management decisions. In head and neck pathology, biomarkers are assessed by histological criteria and immunohistochemical and molecular studies. Surgical resection remains the mainstay of management of many head and neck malignancies. Adjuvant radiotherapy and/or systemic therapy may be administered depending on the presence of adverse prognostic factors identified on histopathological or immunohistochemical examination. In this review, we outline the clinically relevant prognostic and predictive factors in head and neck malignancies including conventionally recognised factors such as tumour size, depth of invasion, lymphovascular and perineural invasion and margin status as well as novel evolving factors such as recurrent genetic rearrangements and assessment of immune checkpoints. Practical issues are discussed to assist with recognising and reporting of these factors. A summary of useful tools such as structured pathology report formats is also included to assist with comprehensive reporting of all clinically relevant parameters, minimise risk and improve workflow efficiencies.
